You can type airport code, city or landmark, and Google GeoCoder will find this, and ads marker. After you search second location, it will display great circle route between these 2 locations. Worldwide satellite image. Weather warnings.

As of Version 1.2 also features "layover functions" ie find Restaurants/Hotels/Airports, based on your location.
