The edutainment application has 11 topics such as Plate Tectonics and Biomolecules. It has “Interactive Videos” which lets the user watch trivia videos, “Interactive Lessons” that makes them initially review the topics before proceeding to the challenge, and “Mini Games” such as 4 pics 1 word and jigsaw puzzles related to the topics which might help them retain information and details.

It has 3 categories at the start up which are: Interactive Lessons, Interactive Videos and the “Take the Challenge”.

INTERACTIVE LESSONS:
This section makes the user view the 11 lessons which they can freely open like a virtual book that tackles about the lessons they are about to answer. It presents the meaning of every terminologies, classifications and kinds of the scientific terms together with pictures so that users can clearly visualize

INTERACTIVE VIDEOS:
This section allows the user to watch trivia videos about the topics for them to know additional information.

TAKE THE CHALLENGE:
This is the real-deal of the application in which the user will finally take the mini games and the actual quiz activity.
When the user clicks the “Take the Challenge” button, he/she will be presented with the 11 Science topics, with most of the levels kept locked and only the first topic is unlocked. When the user clicks it, he/she must first answer the mini game (either of the 3 mini games: 4 pics 1 word, memory game, jigsaw puzzle) and after that, the user will be directed to the actual quiz activity which has 15 questions to answer each topic.

The quiz activity has randomized questions to be presented to the user with different quiz types: Multiple Choice, Identification and True or False. The quiz app consists of 30-second timer for each question and 3 lives for each topic so that they have a chance even if they answer several questions incorrectly. After the user passes the required score of 11/15 above, the next topic will be unlocked and so on.

The whole edutainment application gives the users a fun experience to learn things they haven’t learned before, to be entertained and to be challenged by the subject Science itself.
