SnowAlp

SnowALP is a smartphone application developed by ARPA Valle d'Aosta and Mountain-eering in collaboration with the Center for Functional Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta, for the collection of data of snow depth. The application has the main purpose to engage fans and visitors to the mountain in the activities of observation and collection of environmental data represented in this case the thickness of the snow cover. These rare and valuable data are used to estimate the amount of water contained in the snow (SWE) took place on a regional scale. Using SnowALP will help the studies on the impacts of climate change in mountain and resource management idriche.Misura snow depth to help climate change studies
